Kerala govt to reimburse tech license cost to startups

Kerala has launched a scheme to reimburse the expense incurred by the nascent startup ventures to obtain know-how licenses from authorities analysis establishments within the nation to commercialise and scale up their merchandise.

Underneath the challenge titled ‘Know-how Switch Scheme’, applied by way of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), the federal government will reimburse upto ₹10 lakh to startups buying or sourcing know-how from authorities analysis establishments and dealing on them to develop merchandise that may very well be commercialised.

KSUM CEO, Anoop Ambika, stated this scheme will assist startups within the State to realize larger entry to know-how required for turning their concepts into marketable merchandise. KSUM, in a launch stated, it has invited purposes from eligible startups to avail the advantages provided by the scheme.

“It is a extremely rewarding scheme that may encourage our startups to innovate on their concepts with out bothering about the price concerned,” Ambika stated.

As a part of the fiscal assist scheme, 90 per cent of the know-how price paid by startups to the analysis establishments from the place know-how licenses are bought or sourced can be reimbursed.

The eligible startups with an lively registration with KSUM can submit on-line purposes through the KSUM portal– https:tartupmission.kerala.gov.in/schemes/technology-commercialisation.

KSUM is the nodal company of the Kerala authorities for entrepreneurship improvement and incubation actions within the state.
