Late-night traffic banned on Hebbal flyover from Bengaluru airport side till Wednesday amid BDA development work | Bangalore News

Late-night site visitors has been banned on the Hebbal flyover, which is a hyperlink to the Bengaluru Worldwide Airport, from Might 17 to Might 21 within the wake of contemporary improvement works being taken up by the Bengaluru Improvement Authority (BDA).

The BDA will assemble further ramps to the flyover from the KR Puram aspect in the direction of Mekhri Circle. “As a part of the stated work, set up of seven metal girders of 33.5 m size on the railway tracks might be undertaken from 17.05.2025 to 21.05.2025 daily for 3 hours from 12 am to three am,” the Bengaluru site visitors police introduced.

As a result of work, all sorts of automobiles might be prohibited on the Hebbal flyover “from Esteem Mall in the direction of Mekhri Circle aspect,” it added. This can have an effect on automobiles coming in the direction of Bengaluru from the airport late at evening.

“Automobiles shifting from the Worldwide Airport in the direction of Mekhri Circle should enter the service highway at Esteem Mall and take a proper flip at Hebbal Circle onto the outer ring and proceed in the direction of Tumkur highway, take a left flip at Kuvempu Circle and attain Mekhri Circle by way of New BEL Street,” the police stated.

The Hebbal flyover has been a serious site visitors bottleneck during the last 12 months after the BDA started dismantling two spans of the flyover’s loop connecting to Hebbal from the KR Puram aspect of the Outer Ring Street (ORR) with a purpose to broaden the flyover.

The work on the flyover has led to lengthy site visitors snarls, with automobiles from Nagawara, Tumkur Street, and the ORR service highway merging underneath the flyover. Motorists face delays of as much as half-hour throughout peak hours whereas navigating this stretch.

The site visitors circulate within the area has additionally been affected by the Bengaluru Metro rail work on the ORR and airport stretches.
