Leopard attack victims’ families to get ₹15 lakh compensation: Karnataka CM | Bengaluru

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday stated all efforts are being made to cease leopard assaults within the state capital neighborhood and introduced a compensation of ₹15 lakh for households of these killed in these assaults.

The Chief Minister was talking to the media close to his residence.

“Compensation may also be supplied to the households of these killed in leopard assaults, as was given to the households of these killed in elephant assaults.

“Earlier it was once close to the forest. Now the forest division has taken severe be aware of what’s occurring round Bengaluru. Efforts are being made to hunt it for the previous a number of days and a lure has additionally been set,” stated Bommai.

Bommai stated that he has instructed the division to catch the leopard alive and launch it into the forest.

“In Bengaluru and Mysuru zone there are additionally leopards across the elephant hall. A particular workforce has been shaped to stop leopard assaults and has been informed to take particular motion,” the Chief Minister added.

He stated that the workforce will conduct operations to manage them and catch leopards which have strayed from the forest.

A pupil was killed in a leopard assault at Kebehundi village in T Narsipur taluk of Mysuru district on Thursday. The sufferer has been recognized as Meghana, a final-year B Com pupil of the federal government school in T Narsipur.

Yet another loss of life was reported from Chamarajanagar close to Mysuru border.

Leopards had been noticed in Kengeri, Kumbalagodu, Devanahalli and surrounding localities of Bengaluru.

A search is underway in each cities and the authorities have requested folks to keep up warning.
