Maharashtra man held for threatening Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge over his ‘RSS ban’ letter | Bangalore News

A joint workforce of the Bengaluru police and the Kalaburagi police Thursday nabbed a 40-year-old man in Maharashtra for allegedly issuing threats to Congress minister Priyank Kharge for suggesting that RSS actions be banned in authorities premises in Karnataka.

The accused has been recognized as Dinesh Naroni, a resident of Solapur in Maharashtra. Just lately, Kharge had posted a video the place the caller was heard abusing him. The Karnataka Police have booked a case in opposition to Naroni and can deliver him to Bengaluru by Friday morning.

The police mentioned Naroni labored as a gross sales govt in a chocolate agency and resided along with his household in Solapur. “After Priyank Kharge posted the video and mentioned that he would provoke authorized motion, Dinesh fled to Latur, 120km away from Solapur. We arrested him based mostly on the technical proof we had,” mentioned a police officer.

Naroni has purportedly claimed to be a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The police mentioned Naroni instructed them that he noticed the information of Kharge’s letter to the Karnataka chief minister and referred to as him over the cellphone drunk.

In a letter dated October 4, Kharge had urged the Karnataka CM to ban RSS actions on public grounds, and premises of presidency and aided academic establishments, Muzrai temples, and different authorities land.
