The Halasuru police within the metropolis are looking out for a 25-year-old man who allegedly set hearth to the scooter of his lover, the officers stated on Friday.
The accused, recognized as Vikram (25), was in a relationship with the girl for the final three years, the police added.
The Halasuru police stated the incident occurred on December 3 when the woman parked her two-wheeler within the basement of her condo.
“The woman had parked the car within the basement of her constructing. The accused poured petrol and set hearth to the scooter,” the Halasuru police stated.
Based on the police, the accused was arrested in March this 12 months in a drug-peddling case within the southeast division station limits. He was remanded to judicial custody.
“He had a drug-peddling case in opposition to him and was earlier arrested,” the police stated.
Police stated the sufferer began avoiding Vikram after they questioned her in reference to the case. Enraged, he went to her residence to set her scooter on hearth after which fled the spot.
After the incident, the sufferer went to the Halasuru police station and filed a criticism.
The police stated the accused was recognized after wanting on the CCTV footage from in and across the space of the incident. Additional investigation is underway, and efforts are on to hint the accused on the earliest, the police stated.
