A driver ran off Interstate 25 in Westminster early Saturday morning, hitting a person who was sleeping in a tent off of the freeway.
The incident occurred about 3:15 a.m. on southbound I-25 at 136th Avenue, in response to the Westminster Police Division. The injured man, who was not recognized, was taken to a hospital with critical accidents.
The 23-year-old driver who went of the freeway was making an attempt to keep away from one other car, police stated in a information launch. He was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault DUI and was taken to the Adams County Jail.
Winter climate driving circumstances and alcohol had been contributing elements within the crash, police stated. An investigation is ongoing.
