Mangaluru metropolis police have arrested 10 individuals, together with medical college students, on the fees of consuming and peddling hashish and seized 2 kg of the narcotic substance, officers mentioned on Wednesday.
In accordance with the police, on January 7, town crime department (CCB) of the Mangaluru metropolis police arrested Neil Kishorilal Ramji Shah (38), who’s an Abroad Citizen of India, from an condo at Bunts Hostel Highway, for possessing hashish.
The police had recovered over 2kg hashish price ₹50,000, two cellphones, a toy pistol, a dagger, ₹7,000 and a digital weighing scale. After interrogation in his three-day custody, Sha revealed that he was supplying medicine to different medical college students, the police mentioned.
Sha is enrolled as a pupil at dental school in Mangaluru for the final 15 years. “He was pursuing his research at a dental school and previously 15 years, he had not accomplished his schooling,” Mangaluru police commissioner N Shashi Kumar mentioned.

The arrested have been recognized as Dr Sameer (32) from Kerala, Dr Nadia Siraj (24) from Kerala, Dr Manimaran Muthu (28) from Tamil Nadu, Dr Varshini Prati (26) from Andhra Pradesh, Dr Bhanu Dahiya (27) from Chandigarh, Dr Riya Chadha (22) from Chandigarh, Dr Khsithij Gupta (25) from Delhi, Dr Ira Basin (23) from Maharashtra, Neil Kishorilal Ramji Shah (38) and Mohammad Rauf Ghaus (34) from Maripalla, Bantwal.
The accused, together with 4 ladies, have been booked beneath the Narcotic Medicine and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the police mentioned. The accused have been produced earlier than the jurisdictional courtroom on January 11 and have been remanded in police custody for 2 days.
