Meghalaya CM after BJP claims state refused permission for PM’s rally

New Delhi: Meghalaya Chief Minister and Nationwide Folks’s Social gathering (NPP) president Conrad Okay Sangma Monday denied accusations that he declined the Bharatiya Janata Social gathering’s request to carry an election rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi within the poll-bound state.

The BJP had deliberate to organise a mega ballot rally of Prime Minister Modi in Tura on 24 February.

BJP nationwide secretary Rituraj Sinha stated, “We requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to carry a roadshow in Shillong and a public rally in Tura, Garo hills. We sought permission for PA Sangma stadium to organise a PM rally however we’re shocked to know that the stadium is underneath development and never prepared.
