
Rourke tried to distance himself from the GoFundMe web page on Tuesday, telling his social media followers he would by no means settle for “charity” and desires all donations to be refunded.
However his supervisor, Kimberley Hines, has acknowledged her assistant, Liya-Joelle Jones, was behind the fundraiser, claiming the donations would assist Rourke by way of monetary hardship.
The Wrestler star is allegedly going through eviction from his L.A. residence as a result of $60,000 in unpaid rental payments.
The GoFundMe proceeds have now practically hit the $100,000 mark, but when Rourke has his method, he will not see any of the cash
Hines defined: “We mentioned, ‘Mickey, there are some those that need to allow you to out.’ He is like, ‘Okay, nice.’
“I do not suppose he understood, and now it is taken on this media frenzy, and he flipped out.”
