A MiG 29K on Wednesday crashed over the ocean off Goa after it developed a technical malfunction whereas returning to base. The pilot ejected safely and has been recovered in a swift search and rescue operation. The pilot is reported to be in steady situation, Navy spokesperson stated.
A Board of Inquiry has been ordered to analyze the reason for the incident.
The plane was on a routine sortie.
