Military chopper crash site ‘very remote’, may take hours of trek to reach | Video

A army helicopter crashed Friday morning in distant space of Higher Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, officers stated. The chopper crashed at 10.43am close to Singging village, 25 km from the Tuting headquarters within the Higher Siang district, in response to PRO (Defence). No particulars can be found on the passengers and their situation.

“Acquired very disturbing information about Indian Military’s Superior Mild Helicopter crash in Higher Siang District in Arunachal Pradesh. My deepest prayers,” Union legislation minister Kiren Rijiju stated in a tweet together with a video of the crash website.

Within the video, smoke could be seen billowing from the placement of the crash.

Lt Col Amrinder Singh Walia, PRO (Defence) primarily based in Tezpur, Assam, stated that the search and rescue operation has been launched after a complicated mild helicopter (ALH) crashed at Migging.

A senior district official additionally confirmed the crash saying groups have been despatched to the crash website for search and rescue operation.

Jummar Basar, superintendent of police, Higher Siang, stated that the placement of the crash may be very distant and it might take a number of hours of trek to achieve the positioning.

“We now have dispatched a workforce to the place. Extra particulars will probably be recognized as soon as they attain the positioning,” stated Basar stated.
