Chaos erupted on the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Metro station in Bengaluru’s Majestic Monday morning as Namma Metro trains started working at intervals of 10 minutes, inflicting overcrowding on platforms through the peak hours. After many commuters took to social media to precise their frustration and shared footage of crowded platforms, the Bangalore Metro Rail Company Restricted (BMRC) introduced that it operationalised extra journeys to ease the congestion.

BMRCL managing director Maheshwara Rao claimed that there was an unusually excessive variety of passengers within the morning due to an extended weekend. “The variety of trains working was much less, ultimately resulting in congestion. The scenario is now regular,” he mentioned.
