Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad dissolved all items of his Democratic Progressive Azad Celebration (DPAP) on Monday in what some referred to as a shock transfer.
The choice, sources near Azad mentioned, was taken to pave the best way for a “complete restructuring of the celebration”.
“Ghulam Nabi Azad, chairman of the DPAP, has dissolved all celebration items, together with state, provincial, zonal, district, and block-level committees, in addition to the positions of chief spokesperson and different spokespersons,” learn a press release issued by Bashir Arif, secretary to the DPAP chairman.
“These committees can be reconstituted sooner or later of time,” it added.
Azad had launched his outfit final 12 months after quitting the Congress, hoping that it could emerge as a key participant in J&Ok politics.
Nonetheless, its debut within the Lok Sabha elections was a flop, and its maiden bid for the J&Ok Meeting polls turned out to be a catastrophe.
Azad’s celebration, which contested 23 seats out of 90 within the Meeting polls, couldn’t make any influence, failing to open its account.
