Greater than 900 flights have been delayed at Denver Worldwide Airport on Wednesday resulting from wind as thunderstorms rolled throughout northern Colorado.
There have been 924 flights delayed at DIA as of 8:32 p.m., in keeping with the flight monitoring web site FlightAware. Many of the delays have been on Southwest and United airways.
The airport was on a site visitors administration program and departing flights have been delayed by as much as 1 hour and 45 minutes due to wind, in keeping with the Federal Aviation Administration.
The delays resolved by Wednesday evening, in keeping with the company.
Nationwide Climate Service forecasters reported wind gusts of 47 mph at 2:45 p.m.
