Motorcyclist dragged for 12 km in Surat, dies; 1 arrested: Report

The accident came about on December 18 in Palsana on the outskirts of Surat and the accused has been recognized as Biren Ladumor Ahir, a development businessmen and restaurateur, Surat Rural Deputy Superintendent of Police SN Rathod stated.

The accused has claimed he didn’t realise the motorcyclist was pinned beneath his automotive on impression, knowledgeable Surat Superintendent of Police Hitesh Joysar.

Ahir had fled to Mumbai first after which to Sirohi district in Rajasthan, Rathod added. Ahir died from accidents sustained within the ordeal and his physique fell by the aspect on getting indifferent from the underbody of the automotive after 12 kilometres, Joysar stated.

The accused had fled after abandoning the car however he was held due to a cell phone shot by a motorcyclist who had witnessed the incident and gave chase, he stated.
