NEET PG 2024, postponed on exam eve last month, to be now held on August 11 | Latest News India

The NEET-PG entrance examination will probably be held on August 11 in two shifts, the Nationwide Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences introduced on Friday. 

“In continuation of NBEMS discover dated 22.06.2024, the conduct of NEET-PG 2024 has been rescheduled. The NEET-PG shall now be carried out on eleventh August 2024 in two shifts. On June 22, the Centre had postponed the NEET-PG examination as a ‘precautionary measure’.

“Considering, the current incidents of allegations relating to the integrity of sure aggressive examinations, Ministry of Well being has determined to undertake an intensive evaluation of the robustness of processes of NEET-PG Entrance Examination, carried out by Nationwide Board of Examination for medical college students,” ministry of well being had mentioned in an announcement. 

The ministry had mentioned it would undertake an intensive evaluation of the robustness of the processes of the NEET-PG, carried out by the NBEMS together with its technical associate TCS for medical college students.

The NEET-PG is a national-level entrance examination for admission to all submit MBBS DNB programs, submit MBBS direct 6-year DrNB programs and NBEMS diploma programs provided by medical faculties throughout the nation.

Apart from NEET-PG, the Centre had cancelled UGC-NET examination, saying that it acquired inputs in regards to the ‘integrity of the examination’ being compromised. The UGC-NET examination will now be held in August-Septmeber. 

The UGC-NET is a take a look at to find out the eligibility for the award of Junior Analysis Fellowship, for appointment of assistant professors and admission to PhD programs.

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) UGC-NET, which was postponed as a preemptive measure amid the row over alleged irregularities within the conduct of exams, will now be held from July 25-July 27.

The CSIR UGC-NET is accepted for PhD admissions in Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Bodily Sciences.
