‘No separate bathrooms, unrecognised..’: NCPCR on minor’s rape in Delhi madrasa

Hours after the alleged rape of a 12-year-old boy by a cleric in a North Delhi madrasa got here to gentle, the Nationwide Fee for Safety of Little one Rights (NCPCR) staff inspected the place, and asserted that it is an “unrecognised madrasa”, and lacks fundamental services like “separate washrooms” for girls and boys.

“We went to the madrasa after listening to {that a} little one had been raped there. The offence was dedicated by a madrasa trainer. It’s an unrecognized madrasa. There have been 24 youngsters from Bihar and UP saved with lecturers. They weren’t given any separate services, similar to bogs”, the chief of NCPCR, Priyank Kanungo was quoted by ANI.

Kanungo additional blamed the Aam Aadmi party-led Delhi authorities for not taking stringent motion nor sending the kid welfare committee to the madrasa. “The Delhi authorities has neither despatched a Little one Welfare Committee nor taken any motion. We despatched the Little one Welfare Committee particular directions to go to this location as quickly as attainable and to rescue and rehabilitate kids. The Delhi authorities was requested for the sufferer’s social inquiry report”, Kanungo mentioned.

Reportedly, a 12-year-old little one was allegedly repeatedly raped at a madrasa in North Delhi‘s Sarai Rohilla space after being put to sleep by a cleric. The accused has been recognized as Mohammad Isran and is absconding. “Groups have been deployed to arrest him”, police mentioned

“A 12-year-old boy was raped by an Ulema of a Madrasa within the Sarai Rohilla PS space. The accused Md Isran is absconding and groups of police are on his lookout,” DCP North Delhi, Sagar Singh Kalsi was quoted by ANI.

A First Info Report (FIR) was lodged after the boy’s mother and father approached the police.

As per studies, the maulvi sedated the minor and indulged in unnatural intercourse with the minor a number of instances.
