Famous litterateur Sara Aboobacker (87) died in a hospital on Tuesday, household sources mentioned. Sara is survived by 4 sons. Sara, who’s native of Chandragiri at Kasaragod in Kerala, settled right here at Hathill after marriage. She got here to limelight by her novel ‘Chandragiri Theeradalli’. She wrote many books and was conferred with a number of awards.

She was the daughter of lawyer P Ahmed and home-maker Zainabi. After finishing major training at Chandragiri, Sara went to highschool at Kasaragod. She was drawn to the literary discipline after listening to tales her grandmother used to inform her.

After Sara married Aboobacker, an engineer by career, she discontinued her research. Her first novel ‘Chandragiriya Theeradalli’ received revealed in Lankesh Patrike and gained the hearts of readers. Sara wrote Sahana, Vajragalu, Kadanavirama, Suliyalli Sikkavaru, Paravaha Suli, Tala Odeda Doni, Panjara, Ilijaru, and Kanike, amongst others.
She had written a compilation of tales like Chappaligalu, Payana and others reminiscent of Ardharathriyalli Huttida Koosu and Khedda. Her radio dramas embrace Kamarida Kanasu, Magalu Huttidalu, Theladuva Modagalu, Thala and Heegu Ondu Baduku. Lekana Guccha, Manomi, Bale, Naninnu Nidrisuve are her translations.

She had written additionally a travelogue titled Aisharamadalli.
