Police stations in Bengaluru have taken up a brand new initiative by putting in bookshelves on their premises. Most bookshelves have been arrange within the southeast zone of town, The Information Minute reported.
Stations have already obtained tons of of books as donations from residents and locals. As many as 14 police stations can have libraries, with the pilot programme being arrange in 4 stations within the southeast zone.
IPS officer CK Baba, who’s the deputy commissioner of police (DCP) of the southeast division of Bengaluru, stated the programme can be tried out on a pilot foundation in Koramangala, Mico Structure, Hulimavu and Digital Metropolis.

These police stations inaugurated their mini-libraries on the event of Kannada Rajyotsava on November 1.
