A Pulau-flagged oil tanker, MT Yi Cheng 6, carrying 14 crew members, caught a serious hearth within the engine room and whole energy failure onboard on June 29.
Responding to the misery name, the Indian Navy’s stealth frigate INS Tabar deployed a rescue mission.
Based on the Indian Navy, there have been about 14 crew members of India-origin on board the vessel. The vessel caught hearth when it was transiting from Kandla, India to Oman’s Shinas.

“The firefighting group and tools from #INSTabar had been transferred onboard by the ship’s boat and helicopter,” the Indian Navy Spokesperson mentioned in an announcement on the social media platform ‘X’.
“13 Indian naval personnel and 05 crew members of the stricken tanker are presently concerned in firefighting operations, with the depth of fireplace onboard lowered drastically,” the spokesperson added.
