BJP’s Sambit Patra shared a cartoon wherein Rahul Gandhi is seen as a puppeteer with the strings pulling Jack Dorsey. “No factors for guessing, everyone knows who’s pulling the strings,” Sambit Patra tweeted. “Not an MP, not a minister, not the PM, not the Opposition Celebration President. Only a citizen and but can management the strings, as per this tweet. Is not {that a} spectacular failure of PM and GoI?!” Shiv Sena (Uddhab Balasaheb Thackeray) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi wrote.

‘Many requests round farmers’ protests’

In an interview on a YouTube channel, Jack Dorsey stated when he was heading Twitter, the corporate acquired many requests round farmers’ protests. The Indian authorities threatened Twitter with raids on staff and shutdown threats if it didn’t take down posts flagged by the federal government. “It manifested in methods similar to: ‘We’ll shut Twitter down in India’, which is a really massive marketplace for us; ‘we’ll raid the houses of your staff’, which they did; And that is India, a democratic nation,” Jack Dorsey stated.

The federal government dismissed the claims and IT minister of state Rajeev Chandrasekhar stated that Twitter at the moment was misusing its energy. Through the farmers’ protest, Twitter ‘weaponised misinformation and it began complying with Indian legal guidelines solely in 2022. Terming Jack Dorsey’s claims as absolute lies, the minister stated that no one was raided through the time.
