French President Emmanuel Macron and U.S. President Joe Biden agreed in a phone name forward of a go to to Beijing by Macron to have interaction China to hasten the top of the struggle in Ukraine, the Elysee Palace stated on Wednesday.
“The 2 leaders have talked about their joint willingness to have interaction China to speed up the top of the struggle in Ukraine and participate in constructing sustainable peace within the area,” Macron’s workplace stated in a press release.
The Elysee stated Macron and Biden each hoped China might contribute to solidarity efforts between the worldwide north and world south and construct a joint agenda for the local weather and biodiversity. It didn’t elaborate.
Macron is visiting China from Wednesday to Friday. Chinese language President Xi Jinping plans to carry talks with him to chart a course for bilateral relations, the Chinese language international ministry stated earlier.
