BJP chief Devendra Inani from Indore foiled a theft try onboard a practice whereas travelling together with his household to Haridwar to immerse the ashes of his late mom and three different family members.
The incident occurred within the early hours of July 21. The practice tickets for Haridwar have been booked a few month in the past. Inani’s mom, Ramkanya Inani, died on April 8 on the age of 85.
Inani and eight of his members of the family boarded the practice from Laxmibai Nagar station in Indore on the evening of July 20. Round 4am, between Morena and Agra Cantt stations, a person entered their S-2 coach from the adjoining S-4 and tried to flee with the bag containing the ashes. Inani awoke and caught him red-handed. Inani stated the bag contained the urns carrying ashes of his mom and people of three different family members.
Passengers gathered and thrashed the accused. A search led them to 2 empty purses within the washroom, and one passenger found that his cell phone had been thrown out of the practice. The accused, stated to be a resident of Gwalior, was handed over to the Authorities Railway Police (GRP) at Agra Cantt. His id and former legal antecedents are being probed by the police.
Inani stated, “Most passengers needed to proceed the journey, so the one that misplaced his cell phone stayed again and lodged the FIR.”
Inani and his household reached Haridwar on Monday and carried out the rites on Tuesday.
A video of the incident additionally surfaced on Tuesday, wherein the accused could be seen within the custody of Inani and different passengers.
