Operation Dost: Indian Army’s medical team returns from quake-hit Turkey | Latest News India

After efficiently operating medical reduction operations in quake-hit Turkey, a 99-member Military medical staff that ran area hospitals in Iskenderun and Hatay landed in India on Monday.

Sharing visuals of the staff’s arrival at Ghaziabad’s Hindon Airbase, exterior affairs ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted, “The Military medical staff deployed beneath Operation Dost in Türkiye touches down in India. The 99-member self-contained staff efficiently arrange and ran a totally geared up 30-bedded Discipline Hospital in Iskenderun, Hatay, attending almost 4,000 sufferers.”

Recounting the journey, Lt Col Adarsh Sharma, second answerable for the 60 Parachute Discipline Hospital thanked the federal government for taking a fast choice as time was essential at that second.

India launched Operation Dost to assist in search-and-rescue in Turkey and Syria following lethal earthquakes that struck on February 6 and claimed over 46,000 lives so far.
