Operation Sindoor: At least 100 terrorists killed, Rajnath Singh tells parties; Opposition pledges full support | India News

Not less than 100 terrorists are estimated to have been killed in strikes carried out by the  armed forces on terror camps inside Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is learnt to have informed the all-party assembly Thursday.

The absence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the assembly, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and attended by Residence Minister Amit Shah, Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman – all members of the Cupboard Committee on Safety – was raised by Chief of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and a few of the different Opposition leaders.

“It’s alright if he (Modi) thinks he’s above Parliament,” Kharge added. “When the time comes, we are going to ask. However this can be a time of disaster and we don’t need to criticise anybody at the moment.”
