Jaishankhar was in Kolkata to talk on the thirty third version of the Institute Lecture Collection of Indian Institute of Administration-Calcutta.

Responding to a query from a scholar on whether or not political events ought to prioritise nationwide curiosity over inside politics, Jaishankar mentioned, “You will need to put nationwide curiosity first.
