Moments after a London-bound Air India plane with 242 onboard crashed into Ahmedabad on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacted, calling the crash “heartbreaking”.
Taking to X, Modi mentioned, “The tragedy in Ahmedabad has shocked and saddened us. It’s heartbreaking past phrases. On this unhappy hour, my ideas are with everybody affected by it. Have been in contact with Ministers and authorities who’re working to help these affected.”

Round 2 pm, the Air India airplane with passengers and crew crashed moments after taking off from the Ahmedabad airport. A number of casualties are feared.
Union Minister of Civil Aviation Rammohan Naidu took inventory of the airplane crash. The minister knowledgeable the Prime Minister that he’s dashing to Ahmedabad to supervise rescue and reduction operations on the bottom.
