A deputy superintendent of police (dy SP) slapped a constable job aspirant in Tumakuru in southern Karnataka Tuesday. The incident occurred when a bunch of job aspirants went to fulfill Karnataka Residence Minister Araga Jnanendra to request him to boost the higher age restrict for police constable posts.

After the video of the incident went viral, deputy SP P Srinivas claimed that he slapped the aspirant because the latter spoke unwell of police personnel.
Talking to indianexpress.com, Srinivas stated: “I had promised them (job aspirants) that I’ll give them an opportunity to fulfill the house minister however there are particular safety protocols earlier than assembly the minister… However the youth spoke unwell of the police.”
