Politician pushed off a cliff after road rage brawl in Bengal district | Latest News India

A senior chief of Gorkha Nationwide Liberation Entrance (GNLF), a political celebration in West Bengal, was killed after he was allegedly pushed off a cliff after a brawl with a biker in Kalimpong district, police stated on Tuesday.

In accordance with the police, the incident passed off on Monday night time when Roshan Lama, together with his spouse and daughter, was heading in direction of their dwelling at Monsong from Kalimpong in his automotive.

“Round 8.30 pm (Monday) at Burmek Deorali, Lama met with a minor accident with a two-wheeler. It led to an altercation, which quickly turned ugly,” stated Kalimpong superintendent of police (SP) Aparajita Rai. “A combat began between Lama and one Tshering Sherpa.”

In the course of the brawl, the accused allegedly pushed Lama off the cliff and fled the spot. Lama’s relations rushed him to the hospital, the place he was declared introduced useless.

A case of homicide underneath IPC Part 302 was registered on Tuesday primarily based on the criticism filed by Lama’s brother Bhushan. “Tshering Sherpa has been arrested,” stated the SP.

A GNLF chief stated: “Lama was about to be made the president of the GNLF Kalimpong department… a political angle within the homicide can’t be dominated out.”
