Prasanth Kumar, GroupM South Asia CEO, elected president of AAAI

Prasanth Kumar, CEO, South Asia of GroupM Media (India) Pvt Ltd, has been elected because the president of the Promoting Companies Affiliation of India (AAAI) at its annual common physique assembly.

Rana Barua, group CEO of Havas Group India, was elected vice-president of the affiliation. Anupriya Acharya, outgoing president, would be the ex-officio member of the AAAI board for 2022-23.

Collaboration with {industry} organisations will enable us to form the {industry} in a progressive approach that advantages everyone. He’s a GroupM veteran with greater than 25 years of expertise having labored throughout the {industry}. He has additionally labored at Pepsi, The Hindu, The Media Edge & McCann Erickson earlier than becoming a member of GroupM. He has additionally been vp of AAAI from 2020 – 2022.

Acharya stated it has been “a privilege to carry the workplace of president and tackle the obligations that include it for the final two years”.

The AAAI, a not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed commerce affiliation of promoting businesses, was shaped in 1945.
