President Droupadi Murmu will go to Vatican Metropolis to attend the funeral of Pope Francis, Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA) introduced on Thursday.
Francis, the top of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican Metropolis State died on April 21 on the age of 88.
In a quick assertion, the MEA confirmed, “The Hon’ble President of India will journey to Vatican Metropolis to symbolize the nation on the State Funeral of HH Pope Francis.”
Many heads of state and royals have confirmed their attendance, together with US President Donald Trump, UK Prince William, French President Emmanuel Macron, Spain’s King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, and Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
