On the coronary heart of the disagreement is a significant falling out between the prince, different trustees, and Dr. Chandauka, a Zimbabwean lawyer, and businesswoman with a gilded profession in London and New York.
Dr. Chandauka took over in July 2023 and set about diversifying the charity’s revenue streams.
When donations have been weaker than anticipated, the trustees apparently requested her to step down, but she claims it was the “toxicity” of the Sussex model that dented revenue.
After Harry and the board left, Dr. Chandauka poured gasoline on the fireplace by seemingly focusing on her former good friend in a scathing retort.
She wrote: “There are folks on this world who behave as if they’re above the regulation and mistreat folks, after which play the sufferer card and use the very press they disdain to hurt individuals who have the braveness to problem their conduct.
“Beneath all of the sufferer narrative and fiction that has been syndicated to the press is the story of a girl who dared to blow the whistle about problems with poor governance, weak govt administration, abuse of energy, bullying, harassment, misogyny, misogynoir (misogyny in opposition to black girls) – and the cover-up that ensued.”
