Putin trying to ‘find some oxygen’ with ceasefire order in Ukraine: Biden

US President Joe Biden on Thursday (native time) stated that his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin is “looking for some oxygen” with the ceasefire order within the ongoing battle with Ukraine.

Biden’s assertion comes after Vladimir Putin directed the Russian Defence Sergey Shoigu to order a ceasefire in Ukraine from January 6 to January 7. He expressed scepticism in regards to the ceasefire ordered by Putin in Ukraine for Orthodox Christmas companies on January 6-7, as per the CNN report.

“I am reluctant to reply (to) something Putin says. I discovered it attention-grabbing. He was able to bomb hospitals and nurseries and church buildings on the twenty fifth and New 12 months’s,” CNN quoted US President Joe Biden as saying.

“I imply, I believe he is looking for some oxygen,” he added.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday introduced that the ceasefire will enable Orthodox Christians to attend companies in Church on Christmas, in accordance with the assertion launched by Kremlin on its web site. Putin stated that the choice was taken after Patriarch Kirill referred to as for a short lived ceasefire in Ukraine.

After Putin’s announcement, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s adviser Mykhailo Podolyak in a tweet stated that Russian forces should depart the occupied areas of Ukraine after which announce a “momentary truce.” He pressured that Ukraine doesn’t assault international territory and kill civilians.

Mykhailo Podolyak tweeted, “First. Ukraine does not assault international territory & does not kill civilians. As RF does. Ukraine destroys solely members of the occupation military on its territory… Second. RF should depart the occupied territories – solely then will it have a “momentary truce”. Preserve hypocrisy to your self.”
