Congress Lok Sabha MP and Chief of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi will on August 4 protest in Bengaluru in opposition to alleged irregularities that he mentioned occurred through the 2024 Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka, Residence Minister G Parameshwara mentioned on Wednesday.

“He (Gandhi) will meet Election Fee officers and submit a illustration on August 4. The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) will organise occasions earlier than he submits the memorandum,” the Karnataka minister instructed reporters.

Siddaramaiah echoed Rahul Gandhi’s views later and recommended that the Congress suffered a setback within the April 2024 polls “as a result of unlawful manipulation of electoral rolls….”

“There’s clear proof that electoral malpractice occurred in Karnataka. In constituencies throughout the state, there have been complaints by our celebration staff that new voters had been added instantly and in a suspicious method, whereas names of long-time voters had been eliminated with out justification,” the chief minister mentioned.

The chief minister additionally accused the BJP of misusing the Election Fee for the aim.
