Russia mentioned Wednesday it had began naval workouts with China and Iran within the Arabian Sea because it seeks to shore up ties with Beijing and Tehran.
The Russian defence ministry mentioned in a press release that the trilateral workouts dubbed the “Marine Safety Belt 2023” had begun within the neighborhood of the Iranian port of Chabahar.
The naval a part of the drills will happen on Thursday and Friday.
Russia might be represented by the Admiral Gorshkov frigate and a medium-sized tanker, the ministry mentioned.
