Russia’s deputy overseas minister stated in an interview printed on Monday that it was “fairly doable” the New START nuclear arms management treaty with america would finish after 2026.
“That is fairly a doable situation,” Deputy Overseas Minister Sergei Ryabkov instructed the RIA information company in an interview.

U.S.-Russia talks on resuming inspections below the New START treaty, which expires in February 2026, have been referred to as off on the final minute in November 2022. Neither aspect has agreed on a timeframe for brand new talks.
