The incident started when Scheffler arrived on the course and tried to enter by allegedly driving round cops who have been on the scene following an unrelated deadly bus accident that killed a pedestrian close to the membership. Scheffler was booked on the Louisville Metro Division of Corrections and charged with felony second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree felony mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding visitors alerts from an officer directing visitors.
