Sensex jumps over 300 points to close day at 60,927, Nifty settles at 18,132

Fairness benchmarks Sensex and Nifty closed with positive aspects on Tuesday, following a agency development within the world markets.

Extending its earlier day’s rally, the 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 361.01 factors or 0.60 per cent to settle at 60,927.43. Throughout the day, it rallied 420.26 factors or 0.69 per cent to 60,986.68.

The broader NSE Nifty climbed 117.70 factors or 0.65 per cent to finish at 18,132.30.

From the Sensex pack, Tata Metal, Tata Motors, Larsen & Toubro, Asian Paints, Wipro, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Financial institution, Tech Mahindra and Titan had been the foremost winners.

Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Mahindra & Mahindra and Nestle had been the laggards.

Elsewhere in Asia, fairness markets in Seoul, Tokyo and Shanghai ended with positive aspects.

Fairness exchanges in Europe had been buying and selling within the optimistic territory in mid-session offers.

Markets within the US had been closed on Monday.

Worldwide oil benchmark Brent crude climbed 0.49 per cent to USD 84.33 per barrel.

Overseas institutional traders (FIIs) offloaded shares value ₹497.65 crore on Monday, in accordance with trade information.
