Sensex, Nifty fall for second day on losses in RIL, HUL

Benchmark Sensex and Nifty ended decrease for the second day in a row on Friday amid weak pattern within the US markets and losses in index main Reliance Industries and Hindustan Unilever.

The 30-share BSE Sensex declined 236.66 factors or 0.39 per cent to settle at 60,621.77. In the course of the day, it fell 273.18 factors or 0.44 per cent to 60,585.25.

The broader NSE Nifty went decrease by 80.20 factors or 0.44 per cent to finish at 18,027.65.

From the Sensex pack, Hindustan Unilever, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, Nestle, Bajaj Finserv, Reliance Industries, Larsen & Toubro, Maruti, Infosys and Bharti Airtel had been the main laggards.

FMCG main Hindustan Unilever fell practically 4 per cent amid considerations over improve in royalty and central companies association charge to its guardian Unilever group.

Energy Grid, HDFC Financial institution, HDFC, ITC, Tata Motors, ICICI Financial institution and State Financial institution of India had been among the many gainers.

Elsewhere in Asia, fairness markets in Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong ended within the inexperienced.

Worldwide oil benchmark Brent crude climbed 0.82 per cent to USD 86.87 per barrel.
