Several Wounded In Knife Attack At Paris Train Station

A French official acknowledged on Twitter that the suspect was “shortly neutralised”.

Paris, France:

A number of folks had been calmly wounded on Wednesday by a person wielding a knife on the busy Gare du Nord station in Paris, French authorities stated.

The person was arrested by police on the station, which serves as a hub for trains to London and northern Europe, after they opened fireplace and wounded him, stated a police supply, who requested to not be named.

“A person injured a number of folks this morning on the Gare du Nord,” Inside Minister Gerald Darmanin wrote on Twitter.

“He was shortly neutralised. Thanks to the police for his or her efficient and brave response.”

The incident has cased main delays to trains on the station within the early morning rush, in line with the stay departure board of operator SNCF.

The attacker’s motive was not instantly clear. France stays on a state of heightened safety alert after a spate of lethal assaults by Islamist radicals since 2015.
