A wallop of moist snow and fog Friday at Denver Worldwide Airport has delayed or canceled greater than 580 flights.
DIA airways had delayed 576 flights and canceled six as of 1 p.m., in response to the flight-tracking web site FlightAware.
Vacationers on Southwest Airways confronted 280 delays. United reported 126 delays, and SkyWest had 74. Frontier reported 31 delays, and Delta had 22.
Nationwide Climate Service forecasters measured the temperature round DIA at 30 levels, with 15-mile-per-hour wind and visibility at 10 miles. Extra doubtlessly heavy snow is predicted to hit metro Denver Friday evening and Saturday.
