Former overseas secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Particular Public Prosecutor within the 26/11 Mumbai terror assaults case Ujjwal Nikam, Kerala BJP chief C Sadanandan Grasp and historian Meenakshi Jain have been nominated to the Rajya Sabha.
In a notification issued late Saturday night time , the Union Residence Ministry stated the President has nominated the 4 to the Rajya Sabha.
“In train of the powers conferred by sub-clause (a) of clause (1) of article 80 of the Structure of India, learn with clause (3) of that article, the President is happy to appoint to th Council of States the next individuals to fill the vacancies brought about resulting from retirement of nominated members:- Shri Ujjwal Deorao Nikam, Shri C. Sadanandan Grasp, Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla and Dr. Meenakshi Jain,” the notification stated.
The President nominates 12 folks to the Rajya Sabha, who’re folks of eminence in varied fields.
