Bayer Leverkusen have signed Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka from Arsenal on a five-year deal, the Bundesliga membership stated on Thursday.

Monetary particulars weren’t disclosed however British media reported the German membership paid 25 million euros ($27.19 million)for the 30-year previous.

Xhaka joins Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen after spending seven seasons with Arsenal by which he made 297 appearances, with 23 targets and 29 assists, and helped the membership win two FA Cups.

Xhaka will return to the German league having had a four-year spell with Borussia Moenchengladbach earlier than becoming a member of Arsenal in 2016.
