The Worldwide Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday introduced the warm-up matches forward of the T20 World Cup beginning June within the USA and the Caribbean.
The Rohit Sharma-led Indian group will play Bangladesh of their sole follow match forward of the marquee match on June 1. The venue for the sport is but to be declared. The fixture will cap off the 16 matches within the lead as much as the match.
Pakistan and England alternatively haven’t any heat up video games, with the 2 groups set to lock horns in a four-match T20I collection this month.
“In a departure from the earlier cycle, groups can now select to play as much as two warm-up matches, relying on their arrival time on the occasion,” the ICC wrote of their press launch. “These warm-up fixtures will probably be 20 overs per aspect and won’t have worldwide T20 standing, permitting groups to discipline all members of their 15-player squad.”
Among the many different notable fixtures is Australia dealing with co-hosts West Indies on Might 30 in Trinidad and Tobago whereas South Africa will play an intra-squad recreation in Florida on Might 29.
