Jackson handed away on June 25, 2009, on the age of fifty, from a coronary heart assault attributable to a deadly mixture of sedatives and the anesthetic propofol.
He was in the course of grueling rehearsals for his This Is It live performance residency, which was slated to happen on the O2 Enviornment in London between July 2009 and March 2010.
Jackson’s former good friend and lawyer, John Mason, revealed in his new memoir, Loopy Fortunate: Outstanding Tales from Contained in the World of Superstar Icons, that the Billie Jean hitmaker was almost bankrupt when he agreed to the residency, and was about to lose his property, Neverland Ranch.
The stress of the upcoming residency led tour promoter AEG Dwell to rent Dr. Conrad Murray to function Jackson’s doctor. Dr. Murray reportedly started giving Jackson nightly infusions of propofol to assist the singer sleep.
As Jackson continued having sleep issues, he demanded increasingly medicine from the physician, in what turned out to be a endless loop that may have deadly results.
Mason revealed Jackson was obsessive about performing in the course of the residency, and begged: “I can’t perform if I don’t sleep. They’ll need to cancel it. And I don’t need them to cancel it.”
