Three males have been charged beneath the Nationwide Safety Act with aiding the Hong Kong intelligence service and overseas interference.
All three will seem in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Courtroom later.
The Metropolitan Police stated the Hong Kong investigation was not associated to a separate case involving Russia.
As a part of the investigation, a complete of 11 folks had been detained beneath part 27 of the Nationwide Safety Act.
The three males charged are: Chi Leung (Peter) Wai, 38, of Staines-upon-Thames; Matthew Trickett, 37, of Maidenhead; and Chung Biu Yuen, 63, of Hackney.
Commander Dominic Murphy, head of the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command, stated: “I need to reassure the general public that we don’t consider there to be any wider risk to them. This investigation stays ongoing, however now that expenses have been introduced, I urge folks to not speculate or remark additional in relation to this case.”
Police stated eight males and a girl had been arrested by counter-terrorism officers on 1 Might within the Yorkshire space. The next day, a person was arrested in London and one other man arrested within the Yorkshire space.
Seven males and the ladies had been launched from custody on 10 Might.
