Tipu Palace at Nandi Hills defaced with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s name; FIR registered | Bangalore News

The police registered an FIR after the partitions of the historic Tipu Palace on Nandi Hills close to Bengaluru had been discovered defaced with the title of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi on Monday morning.

The defacement of the 18th-century website protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) sparked outrage and raised questions on safety at certainly one of Karnataka’s most-visited vacationer locations. ASI officers have eliminated the graffiti, whose photos went viral on social media.

Kushal Chouksey, Superintendent of Police, Chikkaballapur, advised reporters, “After graffiti bearing the title of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was discovered on the wall of Tipu Sultan’s Palace in Nandi Hills, Chikkaballapur, a suo motu case was registered on the Nandi Giridhama police station beneath related sections, together with trespassing and damaging property. The ASI-protected website was defaced days in the past, prompting police motion. Investigations are ongoing to establish the culprits.”

The police registered the FIR beneath part 2 (committing mischief in respect of property) of the Prevention of Destruction and Lack of Property Act in addition to sections 324 (2) (mischief) and 329 (3) (legal trespass) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Hyder Ali began the development of the Tipu Palace, and his son Tipu Sultan accomplished it.
