President Donald Trump’s mass pardoning of roughly 1,500 folks related to the Jan. 6, 2021, riot on the U.S. Capitol contains a minimum of 18 Coloradans who will both see their convictions worn out or pending expenses dropped.
Trump introduced the pardons and commutations late Monday, hours after his inauguration in Washington, D.C.
“This proclamation ends a grave nationwide injustice that has been perpetrated upon the American folks during the last 4 years and begins a means of nationwide reconciliation,” Trump wrote.
The proclamation directs the Legal professional Basic to dismiss all pending indictments and instantly launch folks imprisoned in reference to the riot.
