FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Safety officers at a South Florida airport have reported discovering a handgun hidden inside a uncooked hen packed in a traveler’s baggage.
The Transportation Safety Administration posted images of the gun and poultry Monday on its official Instagram account. The weapon was recovered on the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Worldwide Airport.
The publish didn’t determine the traveler who was transporting the weapon or whether or not any arrests had been made.
In accordance with the TSA, recent meat, seafood and different non-liquid meals gadgets are permitted in each carry-on and checked luggage, so long as they’re packed in ice. Unloaded firearms are allowed to be transported in checked luggage, however they have to be declared on the ticket counter and packed in a locked hard-sided container.
