U.N. human rights chief Volker Turk on Friday stated he was decided to interact with China over the findings of a report issued by his predecessor that stated China’s therapy of Uyghurs and different Muslims in its Xinjiang area could represent crimes in opposition to humanity.

“The report that was issued on 31 August is an important one and has highlighted very critical human rights issues,” stated Turk in a Geneva press briefing.
“I’ll personally proceed partaking with the authorities. I am very decided to take action,” he stated, including that “hope springs everlasting.”
